Feeling The Chill Of Winter… And Embracing It!

Here are some GLE tips on how to embrace the winter climate, straight from the Rocky Mountains! Bundle up! Whether it’s for yourself or advising your guests, be sure to layer up and keep warm. We love when couples make the best of the brisk weather by incorporating a garment that’s cohesive with their color scheme and aesthetic. Get toasty! Offering pre-ceremony beverages is a sure way to keep guests bodies and mind off the chillier weather. Snuggle up! Offering blankets and heaters aren’t only weather-appropriate, they also offer a unique décor factor your guests will be sure to thank you for! Stay warm out there!!

Tips on Saying Farewell to Guests in Style!

Since sadly all good things must come to an end, we're sharing expert advise on how to throw a beautiful farewell brunch to thank your guests attending your celebration weekend! Guests who’ve traveled to/from a wedding are typically invited to the farewell brunch, and we highly recommend including an invitation and RSVP for the brunch with the wedding invite, this way we can give catering an accurate count of attendance, as often times guest’s departures interfere with the timing of brunch and therefore can effect the turnout. If your wedding destination is in a warm climate, we always recommend an outdoor setting for brunch, allowing guests to enjoy fresh air and nice weather prior to departure. And always remember, Bloody Mary's and mimosas don’t go unnoticed!  Especially for guests who took advantage of the bar at your wedding the night prior, and you can't go wrong if you opt to accompany them with an omelet station, pastries and/or bagels. #Yum!

Wedding Website Insight

A wedding website is a great source for information, especially for destination hosted events. Must haves include, the times and locations for your wedding ceremony and reception, transportation information, specialty attire based on your venue and location (e.g. bring a sweater, wear flats, etc.), airport arrival and departure locations based on proximity to hotel options, wedding room block information, and gift registries.

Do not list additional events in which all wedding guests are not invited. For example, if a rehearsal dinner is being hosted for out of town guests only, remember in town guests will also view your site. To avoid confusion, guests invited certain events that others aren’t can receive additional information in regards to those via a welcome booklet upon arrival.

To the bride and groom: Do not include your personal phone numbers or email addresses. To keep stress and questions for you to a minimum, include your event planner’s email or phone number instead. This goes for your welcome booklet as well.
