The gifts we buy for our favorite couples should reflect their personalities. As each of their relationships and stories are unique, we’ve created a guide to assist guests in making their “perfect present” shopping list. Whether your summer calendar is filled with weddings for your most traditional friends, or you have a wacky wedding to attend, we have fun and imaginative ideas to ensure your gift won’t go forgotten! Enjoy these unique wedding gifts.Attending weddings has become quite expensive; as it’s rare a guest list only consists of people who live in the place where the wedding is taking place. If you have several friends attending the same wedding, you can suggest going in on what we call a “themed” unique wedding gift. Rather than getting your best bud a spatula that’s left over on their registry, have 11 of your friends purchase gift certificates to their favorite spots to dine! 12 pre-planned date nights lets the newlyweds off the hook for the cost of date night, once a month for the first year of their marriage. With summer in full swing, and whether the newlyweds are already living together or moving into their new digs, a grill is a hot pick for a summer wedding gift. The cost of a grill and all of its tools can be rather pricey; therefore this is a great idea for a “group” gift. Costco has a variety of options, and a fabulous return and exchange policy… Just in case! For the sporty couple, who already has a complete kitchen (or doesn’t want one)… His and hers golf bags, tennis racquets, bikes, camping gear or hiking shoes make great gifts! Typically the “sporty” couple is also the “nutrition conscience” couple, in which case you can’t go wrong with a Vitamix. For our lakeside brides, we found this very rare, super exclusive company called Below the Boat, you can select which lake your friends are getting married near, and Below the Boat creates a work of art out of wood for the couple to hang in their new home. Another intimate and thoughtful gift is a woven photo blanket. With the excessive picture taking and easy access to our friend’s photos, this is a huge hit for the photo-happy couple! Whether you create something personal or buy something expensive, your presences is more important to the couple than your presents and they’re going to be happy you’re spending the most important day of their lives with them!

Here are the top 15 reasons to have your wedding in Aspen:
As we begin planning for a bright and beautiful new wedding season and year, we can’t help but recap all of the celebrity weddings that took place in 2014. From Kim and Kanye (did you know they got married? It was pretty low key…), to long time partners Elton John and David Furnish. Through all of the ceremonies, cold feet, diamonds you could serve tea on, and INCREDIBLE fashion, we narrowed it down to two couples that really stole the show in our eyes.
#1-Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl
I don’t think anyone-no matter your personal style or taste, is surprised that this wedding tops almost every “So beautiful I could die” list.[caption id="attachment_1849" align="aligncenter" width="800"] entertainmentwise.com[/caption]
The fashion EXPERT and German model, tied the knot in a teenie tiny private ceremony in Bedford New York after 8 years of dating. The two wanted it small and intimate with plans to do it bigger in the future, when all of their loved ones could be present. Olivia perfectly executed a Carolina Herrera two-piece and relaxed, natural hair and makeup.
“I wanted the makeup to be light and fresh and more focused about the lashes while keeping the eyes clean. My hair was in an uncontrived ponytail, one of my favorite looks” Palermo told Glamour Magazine UK.
And the best part, deep blue Manolo Blahnik’s for her “something blue”. The girl can do no wrong.
#2 –Behati Prinsloo and Adam Levine
We’re shocked! No we’re not…these two absolutely crush it.[caption id="attachment_1845" align="aligncenter" width="800"] capitalfm.com[/caption]
(This was taken when they first found out they made our 2014 best weddings list…NBD)
While Mr. Levine has been known to have cuddled up with one or two Victoria Secret Angels, Behati locked it down (cheers to you, sister). The couple got married this past July in a very private destination wedding in Mexico. While there are ZERO pictures (killing us), reports state it was a beach party for the stars. With the VS front-runners as bride’s maids, and Maroon 5 band mates as groomsmen, it was one talented, good-looking evening. Behati wore a custom designed Marchesca gown and both humbly requested charity donations as gifts.
#1-Jennifer Anniston and Justin Theroux[caption id="attachment_1848" align="aligncenter" width="800"] mirror.co.uk[/caption]
It doesn’t come as a huge surprise that Jen and Justin are keeping nuptials absolutely mum. The private couple has been engaged for 2 years but plans are finally in gear. Recently in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, when asked about their upcoming wedding, Jen said that no one has any idea when, or where their wedding will be held. It is such a mystery that good friends of the couple, Sacha Barron Cohen and Isla Fischer, come to all gatherings and parties dressed in wedding attire, just to be prepared.
“Even like the 4th of July last year, they showed up and Sacha was in a powder blue suit and Isla was in a cute little dress. And we were like ‘Guys, it’s the 4th of July we’re in cutoffs eating hotdogs. We will actually let you know!’”
I’ll take the Cohen’s cue, and wear a dress everyday in anticipation.
#2-Jackie and Kelso[caption id="attachment_1846" align="aligncenter" width="800"] thedishh.com[/caption]
These two…these two are so good. Have been since day one and we are BEYOND excited that they have finally gotten it together, and are marrying each other. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have been close friends since “That 70’s show”(which they both met, and acted on), first debuted in 1998. After being a couple on the show, and quite literally being each other’s first and only prom dates, Mila was crushin’ she tells W Magazine. As for the ceremony, it will just be the two of them. “Now my theory on weddings is: do it privately and secretly. My parents are okay with that. They’re just excited I said yes”.
#3-Whitney Port and Tim Rosenman[caption id="attachment_1847" align="aligncenter" width="800"] dailymail.co.uk[/caption]
We cannot WAIT to see this wedding come to fruition. Whitney is so detail oriented with such a lovely feminine sense of style, this will be every girly girls dream. Her sister Ashley is conveniently a wedding planner herself, and will be coordinating the entire day and all 150-200 guests. “[I want to take] elements from all different vibes and blend them together” she tells E! News. She wants neutrals and pastels for her outdoor destination wedding and says, “It’s just important to me that it’s sunny and everyone can just be casual”. We hope so too kids!
Congratulations and well wishes to our couples listed here and all of you couples reading! We are so excited for the 2015 wedding season!
